March 2025 we are super happy to announce that Raquel Portela was awarded a Research Project from the 𝗠𝗣𝗦_𝗡𝗢𝗩𝗔 𝗧𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 to advance 𝗟𝘂𝗻𝗴-𝗼𝗻-𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗽 technology for studying bacterial pneumonia. This project will focus on investigating the infection dynamics of 𝙎𝙩𝙖𝙥𝙝𝙮𝙡𝙤𝙘𝙤𝙘𝙘𝙪𝙨 𝙖𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙪𝙨 and 𝙇𝙚𝙜𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙖 𝙥𝙣𝙚𝙪𝙢𝙤𝙥𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙖 using this innovative platform to study infectious diseases. Raquel was also awarded a Staff Exchange Grant to visit Alexander Mosig’s lab at 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝘀𝗸𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗸𝘂𝗺 𝗝𝗲𝗻𝗮 – 𝗚𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆, and learn all about organ-on-a-chip!!! Congratulations to Raquel!!!

March 2025 we have Federico Bosetto with us for two weeks! Federico is a Postdoctoral Researcher working with Dr. Ioanna Mela at the University of Cambridge, where he uses DNA nanotechnology to combat antibiotic resistance!
